Welcome to the 1^st News Sheet as prepared by the Sunday School Leaders ! 

In these News Sheets we hope to let you know what’s happening in the Sunday Schools. 

The Sunday Schools meet back on Sunday 5^th September 2004 – details below –

Junior Sunday School (up to and including P4)

Meet on the 1^st Sunday of each month at 11.35 (approx) in the Hall – return to Church at 12.15 (approx).  Meet other Sundays (except Family Service) at 11.45(approx) – 12.30 in the Hall.

NB Leave from Church on both occasions.

The plan this year is to introduce more singing in our time together, so that we can participate in more family services.

Senior Sunday School (P5 – Form 3 / Year 10)

Meet each Sunday (except Family Service) at 10.00 – 11.00 in the Hall.

This year we hope to make a greater use of music, drama and video in our worship and lessons.   We also continue to search for and introduce lesson ideas that we hope the children will find thought-provoking and fun.

Extra prizes !

It is planned to award extra prizes next June for attendance at Sunday School and Church during the year (for 3 or less Sundays absence).

Help Wanted !

Would you be willing to be an “extra pair of hands” by taking part in a rota of helpers in the Junior Sunday School ?  You may only be required to help every few months.   This is important for Safeguarding Trust requirements to be met.  Please contact the Rector or Jimmy Heaney if you can help.

Dates for your diary

Sunday 26^th September 2004 – Fund Raising Tea in the Hall after the Family Service.

Saturday 9^th October 2004 – Sponsored Bounce in the Bridge Centre (10.00 – 12.00)
